Let's All Promise to Stop Sticking Our Tongues Out in 2014

If the Internet had a Time-like Person of the Year, 2013 was unarguably the year of Miley Cyrus — or maybe just her tongue.
In what seemed like one fell swoop, Miley came in like a wrecking ball after her VMAs performance, shocking us with crazy outfits and tongue antics.
The pop star is not the first to establish this trademark, though younger generations might not immediately think of Gene Simmons or the iconic Rolling Stones logo. Even lizards were sticking their tongues out before Cyrus. Now everyone is hopping on this fun and cute photo trend.
If there's one thing we accomplish in 2014, let's put an end to tongue pictures.
