Paul Walker's grief-stricken girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell pictured for the first time since tragic accident
Paul Walker's long-term girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell has been seen in public for the first time since the actor's tragic death outside his home in Santa Barbara on Tuesday. The devastated 23-year-old, who has been comforted by her mum Julie and close friends as she struggles with her loss, was wiping away tears as she stood talking to a male friend by her silver SUV.
Jasmine, dressed in jeans and a dark hooded sweater, was then pictured sitting on the pavement, hiding her puffy eyes behind sunglasses as she was comforted by the same friend.
Earlier this week Jasmine's uncle, Barton Bruner, said: "Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. I went to Thanksgiving with him, played golf with him.
"They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together.
"This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her".
Paul began dating the college student when she was 16 and he was 33.
Eyewitness Jim Torp told Hollywood Life he broke the tragic news to Jasmine - who was also at the charity event in Santa Clarita.
"Paul's girlfriend was standing next to me when I got the phone call. When I told her what happened she fell, she collapsed."
Paul died on Sunday when the red Porsche Carrera GT he was a passenger in smashed into a tree and burst into flames.
Alwaysevolving
The car was being driven by his friend and former racing driver Roger Rodas, and both he and the actor died instantly. The actor died from the "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries", a coroner has revealed.
The Fast and Furious star was killed after the Porsche Carrera GT he was travelling in with pal Roger Rodas smashed into a lamppost and went up in flames last Saturday.
Today a LA County coroner revealed that both men died within seconds of the crash.
Walker, 40, was a passenger in a one-car crash in Santa Clarita, California, about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
The driver Roger Rodas, died of multiple traumatic injuries, the coroner said.
The injuries sustained by both men were found to be caused by an "auto versus fixed object" with the deaths determined accidental.
The results of toxicology tests are still pending and will not be available for several weeks.
Both men died within seconds of the crash, according to reports.
The Sheriff’s Office says that speed was definitely a factor in the accident.
It has not yet been determined how fast the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that Roger was driving was going at the time of the crash.
Investigators
"have received eyewitness statements that the car involved was
travelling alone at a high rate of speed," the LA County Sheriff's
Department previously said.
