SlideShare Overhauls Homepage With Art That Pops
SlideShare, the slideshow curating site that has been called the YouTube for slideshows, received a complete redesign on Thursday that puts a much more visual spin on the homepage.The keys to the new design, which has been in the works for several months, are much larger images and a more organized homepage that make it easier to find content, according to John Loof, associate product manager at Slideshare.

Slideshows and projects also feature the content's creator more
prominently, giving visible credit to those who create and upload onto
the site. The redesign allows users to engage with projects right from
the homepage. Users can share, embed or Like a slideshow without having
to open it. SlideShare, which was acquired by LinkedIn in 2013 for $119 million, also released some new metrics on Thursday. The site now hosts 15 million slideshows and projects, up from 10 million in May.
The redesign is available now to all users, including those who use the international versions of the site.
